Keeping you safe online

CEOP helps any child or young person under the age of 18 who is being pressured, forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity of any kind. This can be something that has taken place either online or in ‘the real world’, or both. The CEOP Safety Centre has clear information and advice on what can be reported to CEOP, the reporting process and what will happen if you do decide to make a report. Hot weather alert

Good afternoon, I am writing to update you on our arrangements for the warm weather, particularly as there have been a number of recent media reports discussing school closures and heat-related measures. As communicated over the weekend, our classrooms are exceptionally well-equipped for hot weather thanks to the installation of our new heat pump system. Once outdoor temperatures reach 24°C, the air conditioning automatically kicks in, keeping classrooms comfortable throughout the day. In fact, conditions have been so pleasant that many children (and staff) have found themselves reaching for a cardigan rather than a fan! For this reason, we do not feel it is necessary to make any changes to our published summer uniform expectations this year. Please be assured that your child's safety, well-being and learning remain our priority at all times. We have made sensible adjustments to outdoor activities, including PE lessons, to minimise unnecessary exposure during the hottest parts of the day. We would be grateful for your continued support by ensuring that your child comes to school each day with: • At least one full water bottle • A sun hat • Sun cream applied before school, with additional sun cream provided for them to reapply at lunchtime if needed We will continue to follow all current DfE and UK Health Security Agency guidance, closely monitor heat-health alerts, and take any appropriate action required to keep pupils and staff safe, comfortable and ready to learn.
